Our friends at Real Fast Fotography, have caught the 2019Ram 2500 Heavy Duty out testing on the highways of Metro Detroit this past weekend. More and more variants of the new Ram Heavy Duty truck have been testing as of lately. With the trucks set to make their public debut at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit this coming January, we can bet we will be seeing a lot more of the more of these trucks in the months to come.
This specific 2019 Ram 2500 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 was set up for towing with a flat-bed dual-axle trailer with steel weights on the trailer weighing the trailer to capacity. On the front of the trailer is a piece of plexiglass mounted to create drag for testing.
We also get a really good look at the headlights of the new Ram Heavy Duty. Two LED bulbs replace the Bi-Function Halogen Projectors. New LED daytime running lights (DRLs) set under the LED headlights. Below sit a row of amber LEDs for the turn signals. Looking through the camouflage over the grille, you can slightly see the wavy grille texture that matches the same grille design found on the 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie.
Not only do we have pictures of this particular prototype truck, but we have video as well.
Be sure to check back, as we continue to highlight all of these Ram Heavy Duty prototypes as more variants show up on the streets of Metro Detroit.
