2019 Ram 1500 key fobs indicate attention to detail

Subtle changes in key fobs per trim level show attention to detail that went into the 2019 Ram

Key Fobs,

Not something many people think about when discussing or looking at a vehicle. Especially in the modern days of passive entry where most people grab their keys, throw them in their pocket and don’t even think about them. So why are we talking about Key Fobs? Well the level of detail that went into the 2019 Ram 1500 is evident from the second that you grab the key.

All 2019 Ram 1500’s now come with push button start and keyless entry, from Tradesman all the way up to Limited. Optional on Laramie and standard on Laramie Longhorn and Laramie Limited is a remote tailgate release that can be activated via key fob or from the overhead console. Also what looks to be visible on the Laramie Longhorn and Laramie Limited key fobs we have seen is an LED light above the lock and unlock buttons indicating a 2 way fob.

As you can see in the above photos of the Longhorn key fob not only does the key have the Longhorn logo on the back of it, but you will also notice that the metallic parts and logo are finished in a bronzed metallic finish matching the interior detailing of the Longhorn.

Looking at the Laramie Limited key fob above you will notice the fob has the Limited logo on the back and is finished in a brushed nickel to match interior accents that come on the Laramie Limited trim.

Yes these are small details but I think they show just how much attention to detail that the Ram team put into the 2019 Ram 1500. We are eager to learn more as information becomes available. Check out our Forums and let us know what you think about all the little details that Ram has put into these trucks. We will have more on those in tomorrows article.
