Earlier this year, the Uconnect software in our 2019 Ram 1500 received an over the air update which fixed some early software bugs. Unfortunately, the update seemed to bring a new software bug with it as our system would then not save the radio presets. Well thanks to our resourceful forum members, 5thGenRams co-editor Robert Miller was able to fix the issue quite easily.
One thing that was introduced on the 12-inch Uconnect system was SiriusXM 360L, which uses different user profiles to personalize features such as the radio presets. It seems as though during the update the user profiles got wiped causing the radio presets not to save when the truck was restarted.
The fix is quite easy as shown in the video above, if you are having a problem with your presets not saving, you’ll need to go into your settings, create a new user profile for the Sirius account and then save all of your radio stations presets. On the above photo, the icon under the search button on the right side of the screen denotes an active user profile.
Since re-adding the account we have not had any issues with our 12-inch Uconnect system not saving the radio presets. It is also important to note that if your Ram has memory seats the profiles also save to the driver setting, so if you’re driver 1, make sure that you are performing the procedure under the correct memory setting profile as well.
